Attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will require secure and sustainable supply of natural resources, but the production and use of those natural resources should not undermine the very SDGs they are intended to support.

The UNECE Resource Management Week 2021 will take place at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland and online from 26–30 April 2021. The Week will showcase outstanding results in the application of the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC) worldwide and global commitment to the United Nations Resource Management System (UNRMS). UNFC and UNRMS under development by the Expert Group provide essential tools for applying sustainability principles and hence transforming resource management in a way that leaves everyone (and the planet!) better off.
